Celebrating 45 Years of Collaboration Between the Cyprus College of Art and the University for Creative Arts

Opening night Saturday 14 March 2015: 7pm to 9pm. All welcome.

Celebrating 45 years of collaboration between the University for the Creative Arts in England and the Cyprus College of Art in Pafos, we present an exhibition of the work of 12 students from the BA Fine Art course at the University for the Creative Arts made during a one month residency at the Cyprus College of Art in Lempa.

The relationship between the Cyprus and the University for the Creative Arts began in 1969 when the founder of the Cyprus College of Art, Dr Stass Paraskos, became Head of Painting Studies at the University for the Creative Arts. Every year since then students from the University have spent time working at the Cyprus College of Art.

For this exhibition the students have each been asked to respond in the own way to the theme "Travellers to an Antique Land".

The students' visit to the Cyprus College of Art has been funded by the European Union Erasmus Plus Scheme and Grampus Heritage and Training. The students are Elke Jensen, Myrto Konstantinidou, Sian Rider, Lauren Rawal, Ryan Miles, Katerina Orrou, Melisa Erol, Stefania Zefkili, Alexander Kelly, Natalie Jimenez, Andrea Sayer, and Charlotte Vines.

Opening night: Saturday 14 March 2015: 7pm to 9pm. All welcome.

Exhibition continues: Open daily 10am to 5pm, until Wednesday 18 March 2015 (inclusive).
