UNDP-PFF and Goethe-Institut Cyprus jointly present: The 1st International Women's Film Week in Cyprus
Starting on 8th March 2014 (International Women’s Day) at 6.00 pm in the Goethe-Institut hall (next to Ledra Palace Hotel in the UN-buffer zone) Films from different European and other countries will be presented dealing with topics related to women’s affairs. The German entry will be the film “Clara” (2008) by prominent film directress Helma Sanders-Brahms, about the life of the German composer and pianist Clara Schumann, wife of composer Robert Schumann and later companion of composer Johannes Brahms. Film shows will start at 7 and 9 pm from Monday 10th till Saturday 15th March 2014. All films are with English subtitles. The Admission is free. UNDP-PFF und Goethe-Institut Zypern laden gemeinsam ein zur: Ersten Internationalen Frauen Filmwoche in Zypern
Beginnend am Samstag, 8.März 2014 (Internationaler Frauen Tag) um 18 Uhr im Goethe-Institut in Nikosia (neben dem Ledra Palace Hotel in der UN-Pufferzone). Filme aus verschiedenen europäischen und anderen Ländern, in deren Mittelpunkt Themen von und über Frauen stehen, werden von Montag 10.3. – Samstag 15.3.2014 täglich um 19 und 21 Uhr gezeigt. Alle Filme haben englische Untertitel. Der Eintritt ist kostenlos. Der deutsche Beitrag ist der Film „Geliebte Clara“ von 2008 der deutschen Regisseurin Helma Sanders-Brahms über das Leben der deutschen Komponistin und Pianistin Clara Schumann, der Frau des Komponisten Robert Schumann, und nach dessen frühem Tod späteren Lebensgefährtin des Komponisten Johannes Brahms.
