“A Page from History”  will be exhibited on 9 April 2013 at the Atatürk Cultural Centre

The exhibition is based on his book ‘Deniz Bey’, the late Mehmet Kemal Deniz, for 16 years independent ex-congressman in the Cyprus Turkish Political history. The exhibition will show a selection of photographs and documents covering the period 1920 – 1976.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by President Derviş Eroğlu in the Ataturk Cultural Centre at 18.08; prior to the inauguration, a short concert will be given. The inaugural speech will be delivered by Dervish Kemal Deniz, ex-Minister of Economy.

The exhibition of 99 photographs and documents will be on display until 13 April. Viewing times are the library office hours.

The exhibition will also be shown in Famagusta one month later. Announcement will be made accordingly.

Hasan Çakmak stated that the proceeds from sales during the exhibition will be donated to “Yeşilyurt Private Educational Centre”.

Journalist-writer Hasan Çakmak has, until today, published 11 research books. His books have on many occasions been found worthy of a prize both nationally and internationally.
