Municipalities support and execute many cultural activities such as theatre groups, choirs, folk dance; the last two established as associations. The head folk dance association invites to a yearly competition among the local ones and also invites international folk dance groups, usually during the summer and school holiday months, a great event, often at the Kyrenia Amphitheatre. Many of the festivals listed below are organized by the municipalities. You will get all the information on internet or eventually in the local English newspapers as the dates vary each year.
