The Cypriot photographer and filmdirector Panicos Chrysanthou was present when the Berlin Wall opened on 9th November 1989 and he photographed this dramatic moment of recent world history. He also documented the opening of the crossings in Nicosia in 2003, which ended almost 30 years of separation. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall we present 40 selected works by this extraordinary photographer.

The opening of the exhibition will be  tonight, 29th October 2014 at 7.00 pm in the presence of the artist.

After the opening we will present the film "Our Wall" from 1993 by Panicos Chrysanthou and Niyazi Kizilyurek (in Greek/Turkish with English subtitles)

The Exhibition is opened monday - friday from 12 noon until 6.00 pm. Admission is free!

Der zyprische Fotograf und Filmregisseur Panicos Chrysanthou war zum Zeitpunkt der Maueröffnung im November 1989 in Berlin und fotografierte diesen bewegenden Moment der Weltgeschichte ebenso wie die Öffnung der Grenzübergänge in Nicosia im Jahr 2003 nach fast 30 Jahren der Trennung. Anläßlich des 25. Jahrestages des Mauerfalls in Berlin zeigen wir 40 ausgewählte Arbeiten dieses außergewöhnlichen Fotografen.

Eröffnung der Ausstellung im Beisein des Künstlers heute Abend, den 29.10.2014 um 19 Uhr.

Im Anschluss an die Eröffnung zeigen wir den Film: "Our Wall" aus dem Jahr 1993 von Panicos Chysanthou und Niyazi Kizilyurek (Griech./Türk. mit Englischen UT).

Die Ausstellung ist geöffnet montags bis freitags von 12 - 18 Uhr. Eintritt: frei!
