Ashes and Phoenix - Documentary film about Dr. Johannes Lepsius
On the occasion of the
88th death anniversary of the German theologian and orientalist Dr. Johannes Lepsius (1858-1926),
whose name is unsolvable connected with the history of the Armenian people, the Goethe-Institut Cyprus remembers this great orientalist and humanist by presenting the
documentary film “Ashes and Phoenix” (2009; 95 min; German with English subtitles) by Merlyn Solakhan and Manfred Blank on Monday 3rd February, 2014 at 8.00 pm.
Admission is free.

88. Todestages des deutschen Theologen und Orientalisten Dr. Johannes Lepsius (1858-1926),
dessen Name unlösbar verbunden ist mit der Geschichte des armenischen Volkes, erinnert
das Goethe-Institut Zypern
an diesen großen Orientalisten und Humanisten und
zeigt am Montag 3.2.2014 um 20 Uhr den Dokumentarfilm „Asche und Phoenix“ (2009; 95 min; Deutsch mit englischen Untertiteln) von Merlyn Solakhan und Manfred Blank
.
