19 - ChorusLambousa - Rhythm of Life - Preview

I had asked Francine, the director of ChorusLambousa, how things were going on with the new show, and this is what she replied:

Hello Heidi,

With about a month to go to the first night of ChorusLambousa’s “Rhythm of Life” on Thursday, April 30th, rehearsals are well underway.  The chorus of some 40 members in the show are enjoying themselves, especially with numbers like Bohemian Rhapsody, Razzle Dazzle and Bridge Over Troubled Water. There is a great working atmosphere with dedicated people having fun; indeed one member has cancelled a holiday to ensure he doesn’t miss any rehearsals and let the team down. Where do you get commitment like that?

The show takes place in a club called “Rhythm of Life,” a little reminiscent of the “Kit Kat Klub” from the musical “Cabaret”, with the song of the same name and “Rhythm of Life” from Sweet Charity.  Other songs include block-busters from Carousel and Hair and others from Chicago, Guys and Dolls, and Mamma Mia. If you enjoy good music, you will enjoy the show!

Regards, Francine

I have booked three tickets for Thursday, May 30. I want to see how ChorusLambousa has developed. If you ask me, it is an astonishing progress they have made in just one year. In my opinion it is discipline and engagement which makes ChorusLambousa so successful. I wish them good luck, or, as they say, break your leg!

“Rhythm of Life” will be the fourth show by ChorusLambousa founded and led by musical director Francine Ash. With director Jan Marsh and additional singing training and development by Anna, the show is expected to be another resounding success.  The production will be performed on April 30th, May 1st and 2nd at the Barons’ Theatre Lambousa, Lapta. Already the last night (Saturday) is a sell out and there are just a few tickets remaining for the Thursday (non-smoking) and Friday (smoking allowed in the foyer and bar area.)

Bookings can be made with Andrew on 0533 866 7563 or taken at the Saturday market at Chateau Lambousa.

Seat reservations can only be made for tables of 10, when paid for in advance, or to make it an even special night out for customers who have a pre-theatre meal at the Waterfront Restaurant on the night of the performance. Details can be obtained from Ruth or Tony on 0542 873 1372 or 0533 849 1648.
