Bellapais Abbey refectory has opened again its door to a series of classical concerts; unfortunately the news reached us late to announce all of them it in good time. Eight concerts were planned. The concerts still available are

on 28 and 29 May with The Military Band of the Turkish Peace Forces in Cyprus with a programme including Arca, Ippolitov Ivanov, Haan Scherbacher, Hastreiter, Guiglielmi, Orff, Cihangirov and other of anynomous source. Conductor is Metin Kazgan, for the Choir Yilmaz Taner and a vocalist Dilsad Asadova.

On May 31 an Oboe Piano Recital with Vasil Atanasov and Todor Svetiev from Macedonia with Teleman, Schumann, Grgin, Ch.Colin, F. Bonzon, Rachmaninoiv, D. Agostini and J.W. Kalliwoda.

On June 3 a four hand piano Recital with Gamze and Arzu Kirtil from Turkey with pieces by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Chopin, F. Poulenc, G.Gershwin and F.Say.

On June 10 a guitar recital Ahmet Sönmezler with Hector Villa-Lobos, Fernando Sor, Sergei Rudnev and Konstantin Vassiliev and Carlo Domeniconi.

On June 17 the final concert with the Misafir Odasi Solistleri Leyla Colakoglu (soprano, Bilgehan Erten (Violin), Rüya Taner (piano) and Dinçer Özer (percussion) with some pieces of anynymous source, Ince, Liszt, J.Williams, Y. Taner, E.Satie; S.Akdil, Chopin, Bizet.

All concerts start at 20.30 hrs and tickets at TL 20 are available at the known places.
