Synopsis : Il est capable de faire un discours étonnant sur la soul américaine à des écoliers éberlués, de se mêler de la vie privée de ses concitoyens, ou encore de faire jurer à sa fille de 18 ans que jamais, au grand jamais, elle ne quittera la maison familiale. C'est Simon Wolberg, maire d'une petite ville de province, amoureux fou de sa femme, père envahissant et fils provocateur ! C'est l'obsession de la famille qui porte cet homme. Qui le pousse à mettre à l'épreuve ces liens, à en vérifier la force et la fragilité...

Synopsis: Simon Wolberg (François Damiens) can make an amazing speech on American soul music to astounded schoolkids and can get his eighteen-year-old daughter to swear that she will never, ever leave home. He is the mayor of a small provincial town who meddles in the private lives of his fellow citizens. He's madly in love with his wife, Marianne (Valérie Benguigui), but is also an invasive father and a provocative son driven by his obsession with his family. It causes him to scrutinize their bonds, putting their strength and fragility to the test.

Περίληψη :  

Είναι ικανός να ετοιμάσει μια εκπληκτική ομιλία με θέμα την αμερικάνικη σόουλ μουσική μπροστά σε αποσβολωμένους μαθητές, να χώσει τη μύτη του στην ιδιωτική ζωή των συμπολιτών του ή και να κάνει τη δεκαοκτάχρονη κόρη του να ορκιστεί πως ποτέ μα ποτέ δεν πρόκειται να εγκαταλείψει την οικογενειακή τους εστία. Είναι ο SimonWolberg, δήμαρχος σε μια μικρή επαρχιακή πόλη, τρελά ερωτευμένος με τη γυναίκα του, φορτικός πατέρας και προκλητικός γιος! Η οικογένεια έχει γίνει έμμονη ιδέα μέσα του. Και τον σπρώχνει να περνάει από διάφορες δοκιμασίες αυτούς τους δεσμούς του, να εξακριβώνει πόσο δυνατοί ή πόσο εύθραυστοι είναι...
