May 9-12: "Sailor Beware" a Comedy at the Lambousa in Lapta
3/31/2012

A letter I received from Jan Marsh, director of the next Lambousa Show:

Hello Friend of Theatre Lambousa,

I am writing to advise you that the next production to be held at The Baron's Theatre, Chateau Lambousa, Lapta is "Sailor Beware" a comedy/farce by Phillip King & Falkland Cary and directed by Jan Marsh. (Copy of poster attached.) This play was a huge hit and saw over 1200 performances, making Peggy Mount a household name
with the TV sitcom "The Larkins" and shooting her to stardom.

The Box Office (
0533 8387824) is open and will be at the Saturday morning market at Chateau Lambousa, from Saturday 31st March, to take reservations (30TL ea). Reservations can also be made through Ozankoy Book Shop, Cafe Britain and the Black Olive.

Pre-Show meals
will also be available and those booking meals will have their places/tables reserved either on the balcony or in the auditorium. (Due to seating arrangements bookings for the balcony are taken in multiples of 2.) Please note that balcony seats quickly sell out.

Bookings to reserve tables of 10 are available in the downstairs auditorium, but numbers under 10 (other than those taking pre-show meals) do not have named places/table reservation.

So, if you want to be sure of your reservation then please reply or call, as soon as possible providing the following information.
  • Date of reservation
  • Number required
  • If pre-show meal option required (menu & cost awaited from the Waterfront Restaurant)
  • If you prefer downstairs auditorium seating with pre-show meal
  • The lead name for the reservation and contact phone number.

NB: It is with regret but due to past failures by some people to pay for reservations/meals (when we were sold out and were turning people away) it is necessary to implement the following:

  • An initial deposit of 5TL pr person (non refundable) against reservations, payable on the first Saturday following telephone/email bookings or, on the day of booking at the box office.
  • Full payment within 2 weeks.
  • All pre bookings must be paid no later than 21st April 2012.
  • Due to the experience of past demand reservations not paid on the due date/by 21st April 2012, deadline will be released.
  • Menu selection for pre-show meals are only passed on to the Waterfront when the meal has been paid for.

We look forward to your continued support for live theatre here in the TRNC with Theatre Lambousa.

Jan Marsh
