A festival to promote local olives and olive products
While you are there in Zeytinlik - the best time is in the afternoon - you will find enough distractions at the stands with all sorts of craft and art, also participating is the only pottery in North Cyprus, Hasan Eminaga from Dizayn 74. There is plenty of delicious food and olive products to be tasted.
Every day around 5 pm my friends Ismet Tatar and Ali Nesim will present their new books in English.
By Ismet Tatar “The Miracle Olive” and by Ali Nesim "The Cry of the Olive Tree" and they both will be there personally to sign their books. Please read also my review under Cyprus Art News.
After the festival, you be be sure, the oil factories will open their doors for this year’s olive harvest.
