The
Tulip Angels Carole and Sue were quite enthusiastic about the outcome of the
concert and the fantastic evening. Already before the concert all 300 seats
were sold and they had to add some 35 chairs more to meet the demand. Here go
their thanks to the staff of Kybele restaurant.
The choir was amazing and the reception they were given by a fabulous audience
kept them on stage far longer than they anticipated. Their range of music
and the quality of their performance was fantastic.
The choir does a lot of charitable work both in the UK and Abroad and had
agreed to perform free of charge so that
income from tickets sold could go to Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association.
The choir’s aim is to perpetuate the great Welsh tradition of male voice choral
singing with a broad repertoire of music; they place high priority on
supporting charitable causes through fundraising concerts. They have already
been here in 2007.
An
amazing 5,046TL was raised on Ticket Sales and a further 760.50TL was donated
on the night through the collection boxes - making a total of 5,806.50TL –
Wonderful, Carole and Sue exclaimed enthusiastically.
The Tulip Angels and the audience are most grateful to the Cowbridge Male Voice
Choir for providing them with such an enjoyable evening and in return the choir
members said that they will come back again. Carole and Sue hoped that they
enjoyed their brief visit to the TRNC and realized that their performance was
very much appreciated.
Carole
and Sue asked me to officially express on their behalf their gratitude to Mehmet
Sebep from Karkot Ltd, who provided refreshments during the interval free of
charge - a very generous gesture. Mehmet is a great supporter of the arts and
does much for charity. Besides that, his BIO wines are excellent.
However,
all this could not be achieved - let’s be honest – without the endless and
selfless activities planned and organized by Carole and Sue; they have my high
respect.
