Chaos was the leitmotiv for the exhibition,
representing the sense of time. The event was opened by the Education Minister and
Ruzen Atakan who was obviously involved in the organisation of the event. The
foreword to the catalogue is about the chaotic situation that reigns in the
world, the Chaos that has entered institutions and offices, hospitals and
schools in Cyprus and makes us helpless. For the sake of our families, for our
children and our future we must get together and do something to make Chaos
stop. There has been a research done by the Columbia University to find out why
people in countries like Finland, Denmark, Holland are happier than in other
countries, and they found out that where order reigned people were safe,
healthy and happy.
There were some paintings which came close to the
theme, others had nothing to do with it, but it does not matter, what counts is
the solidarity and display of awareness.
