Results of the

“Young artists’ art competition 2009” in North Cyprus

The jury members under the leadership of Inci Kansu were: Nail Ozlusoylu, Emin Çizenel, Hikmet Uluçam, Uğurçan Akyuz . They evaluated the works handed in and on March 25 and decided on the winners.

The first three winners of this years young artists competition are:

Hasan Zeybek with “Altı Atlık Kınas” (Henna Ceremony)

Nilüfer Inandim with  “Kopuk Aile” (Separated family)

Toya Akpinar with “Djemal 1”

Further 45 works by 16 artists were found worthy of mention.  The opening ceremony will be on April 22 at 6 pm at the Atatürk Cultural Centre and interested art lovers can view the exhibition until April 30 from 8 am – 5 pm.
