This year’s TRNC painting competition for young artists brought – in my opinion and looking back to the last years – little presence. Out of 42 works by 12 young participants seven artists were chosen with their altogether 21 works. The two jury members were Ümit Inatçı and Oya Silbery.

Where are they, the young budding artists? I recognized the works by some young friends who have participated – and been awarded - regularly

Nevertheless there are some very good works to be seen. The exhibition is still open until the end of the month, 30 June and viewing times are the official government offices hours – unfortunately they never indicate the exact hours but as far as I know it is now Mon-Fri 8:00 – 14:00 hrs plus on Thursday the afternoon as well.
