Nov 16 - Feb 26 2012 - Photography Exhibition at Old Power House in Nicosia South - 11/4/2011 Ricarda Roggan „Preparation Stage“ We would like to cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Preparation Stage” by the German photographer Ricarda Roggan on Wednesday, 16th November 2011 at 8.00 pm in the Nicosia Municipal Art Center NIMAC (Old Power House) in the presence of the artist. The exhibition was organized jointly by NIMAC and the Goethe-Institut Cyprus as part of the NIMACs Project Room # 4 series and will last until 26th February 2012. Ricarda Roggan studied photography in Leipzig and London and has shown her work in solo exhibitions and in important group exhibitions internationally. Her works can be found in many collections worldwide. In recent years she has visited Cyprus on numerous occasions and the island has been a source of inspirations for her new work: the series Set, Reset, Exits and Sendiments. Ricarda Roggans installation recreates the environment of a photography laboratory as the place of birth, preparation and creation of the artwork. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue in Greek, English and German and has been supported by Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd., Medstar Shipmanagement Ltd. and Grohe. Ricarda Roggan „Preparation Stage“ Wir möchten alle Freunde zeitgenössischer Kunst, besonders Fotografie und Installationskunst, herzlich einladen zur Eröffnung der Ausstellungsinstallation „Preparation Stage“ der deutschen Künstlerin Ricarda Roggan, die am Mittwoch, den 16. November 2011 um 20 Uhr im Nicosia Municipal Art Center NIMAC (Old Power House) im Beisein der Künstlerin eröffnet wird. Die Ausstellung, gemeinsam organisiert von NIMAC und Goethe-Institut Zypern, wird bis zum 26.2.2012 gezeigt. Ricarda Roggan studierte Fotografie in Leipzig und London und hat ihre Arbeiten in vielen Solo- und Gruppenarbeiten weltweit präsentiert. In den vergangenen Jahren hatte sie mehrmals Zypern besucht, was sie zu neuen Arbeiten wie der Fotoserie Set, Reset, Exits und Sediments inspiriert hat. Ricarda Roggans Installation ist Teil des NIMAC Ausstellungsprojektes Project Room # 4 und besteht aus der Schaffung eines Fotolabor Ambientes als dem Entstehungsort ihrer kreativer Kunst. Zur Ausstellung erscheint ein Katalog auf Griechisch, Deutsch und Englisch.
