Video Art is a type of art which relies on moving pictures and comprises video and/or audio data. Installation video is the most common form of video art today. Sometimes it is combined with other media and is often subsumed by the greater whole of an installation or performance.

Installation art describes an artistic genre of site-specific, three-dimensional works designed to transform the perception of a space. The genre incorporates a very broad range of everyday and natural materials, which are often chosen for their evocative qualities, as well as new media such as video, sound and performance.

In Performance art, usually one or more people perform in front of an audience. It can happen anywhere, at any time or for any length of time. Performance art can be any situation that involves four basic elements: time, space, the performer's body and the relationship between performer and audience.

This unit provides the opportunity for you, to go through a series of workshop topics centered on video camera techniques and through a process of exploration and transformation of images, objects and materials.
