I saw the play in April 2019, I read the poetry by Fikret Demirağ, the poet, the play is based on, I read it in English and I want to share it with my readers, the play had touched me deeply.

Yaşar Ersoy has now brought the details together, so that this play gets not forgotten, that the words and thoughts of the poet, the way Yaşar Ersoy, who developed the play, brought it on stage, with the pain, the reflections on humanity, on human stupidity and stubbornness, the possibility of a human solution…. The play was brought on stage to celebrate the 50^th birthday of the Lefkoşa Belediye Tiyatrosu.

The books contains introductions by HE Mustafa Akincı, by the Nicosia Mayor Mehmet Harmancı, both important figures in the support of the Nicosia Municipality Theatre, and thoughts and reviews by poets, writers, artists and critics and journalists. I feel honoured that Yaşar Ersoy has included my text in this book.

Some scenes and pictures are shown in the book, scenes that were spoken live on the evening of presentation in the MOD Café, a new place just next to Hamur Restaurant, with a garden space along the maut. A very emotional evening, the moon above, some politicians also listening attentively to the extracts of the play spoken by Yaşar Ersoy, Erol Refikoğlu, and the actresses Özgür Oktay, Döndü Özata, Melihat Melis Beşe.

I do hope that this book will also come out in English, Khora is the publisher of the book.
