Many years ago I was asked to translate Maureen's texts about walking tours, orchids and many other plants, traditional customs and village life for a local newspaper and a tourist magazine; I accepted with pleasre because I had high respect for Maureen, her endless activities and her passion to introduce Cyprus' fauna and flora to visitors. Doing the translations I learnt a lot and I often talked to her on the phone asking for a more detailed description when something was not clear to me.
One of the trekking paths should be given her name to remind of a great woman.
